The New Mexico Entertainment Magazine Awards is a community celebration and we look to our community when we choose our presenters. We collaborate with local and national comedians, who is creating a writer's room to create dialogue for our presenters, led by Lead Writer and Comic Charm Baxter.

Presenter Requirements & Expectations

Thank you for your interest in serving as a presenter for the New Mexico Entertainment Awards. Presenters play an important role in making the ceremony engaging, entertaining, and memorable. We are looking for individuals who are professional, reliable, and passionate about celebrating New Mexico's entertainment community.

Presenter Qualifications

To be considered as a presenter, applicants should:

• Have experience with public speaking, stage performance, hosting, broadcasting, acting, comedy, or live events.

• Be comfortable speaking in front of a live audience.

• Demonstrate professionalism both on and off stage.

• Be enthusiastic about supporting New Mexico's entertainment community.

• Be able to work collaboratively with producers, writers, and fellow presenters.

Responsibilities

Selected presenters are expected to:

• Present one or more award categories during the ceremony.

• Review their script in advance and become familiar with the material.

• Learn the correct pronunciation of award nominees.

• Attend the presenter/writer meeting to review and fine-tune scripts.

• Participate in the dress rehearsal.

• Follow production direction and timing during rehearsals and the live show.

• Announce nominees and winners clearly and confidently.

• Help create an enjoyable experience for nominees and guests.

 

Required Availability

Presenters must be available for:

• Script Review Meeting (date to be announced)

• Presenter & Writers' Meeting (if applicable)

• Dress Rehearsal

Presenter Expectations

Presenters agree to:

• Arrive on time for all required events.

• Dress in business formal or evening attire appropriate for an awards gala.

• Maintain confidentiality regarding winners, scripts, production details, and any non-public event information.

• Treat fellow presenters, nominees, volunteers, and staff with professionalism and respect.

• Follow the approved script unless prior changes have been approved by the Executive Producer.

• Keep introductions and remarks within the allotted time to help maintain the pace of the show.

• Avoid material that could detract from the celebration of the nominees and winners.

• Notify the production team immediately if circumstances prevent attendance.

We're especially looking for presenters who are:

• Engaging and personable

• Comfortable with humor and improvisation when appropriate

• Reliable and well-prepared

• Supportive of fellow artists and entertainers

• Positive ambassadors for New Mexico's creative community

Selection Process

Presenter selections are made by the New Mexico Entertainment Awards production team based on event needs, experience, availability, and overall fit. Submission of an interest form does not guarantee selection. Presenters should not be nominated in the category they are presenting. If a scheduling conflict arises, the production team reserves the right to reassign presentation duties to preserve the integrity of the awards process.
