Back again for another year is the world of the weird, The Oddities & Curiosities Expo taking place at Expo New Mexico in Albuquerque. Owner Michelle Cozzaglio is excited to be back in Albuquerque after a successful first-time run in 2019. The event showcases taxidermy, preserved specimens, antiques, handcrafted oddities, quack medical devices, skulls, funeral collectibles, and more. We had the opportunity to interview her when we got to see what the event had to offer. But it was great to sit down before the event, scheduled for March 5th, and get an idea of how the event came about.

Cozzaglio and her husband are fans of the oddities. She knew others would share that love in New Mexico, which inspired the event. "My husband and I have always been collectors of strange and unusual items," shared Cozzaglio. "I wanted to bring together the community to support other collectors, artists, and small businesses all under one roof."

The Oddities and Curiosities Expo presents an array of exhibits due to her list of connections. "We have oddity vendors and dark artists from all over the country at our expos," says Cozzaglio. "We receive thousands of applications. Each vendor in our show is handpicked. We truly feel we have the best odd dealers in the country at our show!"

Expansion is always on her mind. Cozzaglio has been working on what to expect with the upcoming shows. "We constantly strive to be better and provide the best show of this kind around," shares Cozzaglio. "This includes curating the vendors that will be there and adding various touches throughout the event to continue making it a comfortable and fun experience year after year. This is our 3rd year returning to Albuquerque. We look forward to showing the city what we've been up to!"

The Oddities and Curiosities Expo is on March 5th at Expo New Mexico inside the Manual Lujan Building. Visit odditiesandcuriositiesexpo.com for more information.
