Originally designed to award scholarships to four participants, the program has now granted lifetime memberships to all 25 applicants, transforming the initiative into a philanthropic model aimed at cultivating a global network of empowered producers.

This milestone decision is rooted in AFMI’s commitment to breaking down financial barriers and fostering diversity within the industry. By offering lifetime access to its comprehensive producer training, AFMI is equipping a new wave of above-the-line producers with the tools necessary to reshape the landscape of independent film financing, development, and distribution.

In addition, members benefit from continuous updates, mentorship, and a powerful professional network—resources designed to sustain long-term growth and collaboration.

With applications for the next biannual, cost-free cohorts opening in May and October, AFMI Productions is extending an open invitation to aspiring producers around the world who seek to create impact-driven, sustainable careers in independent media.
