Following the resounding success of Boots In The Park in Albuquerque this past weekend, Activated Events—the premier name in independent live events is gearing up for another unforgettable experience at Balloon Fiesta Park. On August 9, 2025, the company will return with The Smoke Show, a one-day celebration of country music, food, and culture, headlined by none other than country music icon Blake Shelton.

Boots In The Park brought tens of thousands of fans to Albuquerque, transforming the city into a vibrant hub for country music lovers. The sold-out, two-day festival boasted an all-star lineup, including Luke Combs, Cody Johnson, Jon Pardi, and Parker McCollum. With electrifying performances and nonstop energy, the event reinforced Albuquerque’s growing reputation as a key destination for major country music festivals.

“We were blown away by the support and excitement Albuquerque brought to Boots In The Park,” said Steve Thacher, CEO of Activated Events. “The response from fans exceeded all expectations, and we couldn’t wait to announce our return with The Smoke Show. Having Blake Shelton headline this new event is the perfect way to keep the country party going in New Mexico.”

Shelton, one of the genre’s most celebrated and enduring stars, remains a magnetic force in the country scene. His recent release, For Recreational Use Only—his thirteenth studio album—dropped in May 2025 and is already making waves with its chart-topping single “Texas.” The album reflects a return to his country roots while embracing his wide-reaching appeal, featuring standout tracks like “Stay Country or Die Tryin’” that fans can expect to hear live when he takes the stage in August.

The Smoke Show promises more than great music—it’s a full-bodied festival experience. Attendees can indulge in expertly crafted BBQ from local culinary talents, sip from a curated selection of 101 premium whiskeys, and enjoy a diverse offering of craft beers. The event also features line dancing, cornhole tournaments, and immersive art installations, creating a festive atmosphere that blends rustic charm with high-energy entertainment.

As The Smoke Show expands its reach in 2025, bringing its unique blend of country music and culinary flair to more towns, its debut in Albuquerque will be a landmark moment. With Blake Shelton leading the charge, country fans across New Mexico and beyond have every reason to mark their calendars and join the celebration.
