The New Mexico Film Office Announces "Big Kill" to Film in New Mexico


Santa Fe, N.M. - Today, New Mexico Film Office Director Nick Maniatis announced that the action western feature "Big Kill" produced by Big Kill, LLC and Archstone Pictures will begin principal photography mid-November through mid-December. Production will take place in Santa Fe.

"Our incredible landscapes and robust talent pool have long made New Mexico a premiere location for filming Westerns," said Film Office Director Nick Maniatis. "New Mexico's powerful film incentive and extensive film infrastructure are making our state an even better location for films like these."

The production will employ approximately 40 New Mexico crew members, 30-40 New Mexico principal actors and approximately 50 New Mexico background talent.

Starring Lou Diamond Phillips ("Young Guns," "Longmire"), Danny Trejo ("Machete"), Christoph Sanders (ABC's "Last Man Standing"), Clint Hummel, Elizabeth McLaughlin ("The Clique," "Hand of God"), Stephanie Beran, KC Clyde and veteran actor Michael Pare.

Michael Slifkin is producing for Archstone Pictures from a script written by Scott Martin. BIG KILL is set for an early summer 2018 theatrical release.

"Big Kill" is the story of a tenderfoot from Philadelphia, two misfit gamblers on the run, and a deadly preacher who have a date with destiny in a boom town gone bust called Big Kill. The west is reborn in this classic morality tale of good versus evil.
