NME After Print: Sparks fly at The Comedy Vault

Update: As of Wednesday, May 29th, The Comedy Vault locked their doors and presented a sign on the front door stating, "For Access Please Contact Peterson Properties, LLC 505.884.3578." The property has also been listed for rent. Albuquerque’s first dedicated comedy club in years opened this month. Instead of fanfare, they were greeted by protests. Located at 325 Central Avenue Southwest, the club opened after months of construction delays. CATS is at Popejoy Hall, and it is a delight to watch! CATS, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, follows a group of cats invited to a ball where one of the cats will have the chance to be reborn - experiencing a new life. The musical is inspired by a collection of poems "Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats" by T.S. Elliot. Stepping into the theatre, the first impressions of what you’re about to experience is very clear. The set design is beautiful. It was so elaborate. Taos is now the epicenter for a new music and art festival. Monolith On The Mesa: A High Desert Rock & Art Experience is a music experience intertwined with an art event. It features an indoor stage with a 400 person capacity and an outdoor “earthship” amphitheatre which holds 1,500 people.
